Very Nice Tribute I must say. Everyone did well. Although 2 of my favorites were left out, "Southern Girl", & "Look at California". Im from California, with Southern Girl morals & values. I Love Frankie B. & Maze.

I hope this is volume one of two because there are so many beautiful tracks missing, While I'm Alone, Call On Me, Magic etc. Having said that it is still a wonderful compilation and I can't wait to get my hands on a copy. well done to all those involved.

Roderick from St. Louis, I was at a Frankie Beverly & Maze concert in the their early years, I remember when Frankie told everyone to light a lighter or shine a light, I looked around and all those lights were shining it sent chills through my body. The best concert I've ever attended. I've been a fan every since.

Just the idea of this tribute album makes my heart smile. Frankie Beverly and Maze have contributed greatly to the soundtrack of my life. They are so deserving of all of this and SO MUCH MORE! This album should be a trilogy. You can't fit so much history in one album.

My Oh My...I am twenty-five years old, and have been listening to Maze and Frankie since I was a small child. This music is a part of my soul...I saw him in concert for the first of what I hope to be many times, in Cincinnati a few weeks ago, and I have never been so elated by a musician and his band. Truly blessed, amazing, an inrreplaceable contributor to the entire music world. The artists chosen for this album are among my favorites, especially Mr. Raheem and Mint Condition. I am just so thankful for this...truly a gift!!!

For those of you who don't know, listening to Maze featuring Frankie Beverly is a right of passage in New Orleans. I have enjoyed each of the 20 or so concerts that I have attended. (yes he visits 2 or 3 times per year). This is a great tribute to a wonderful group of people. Thank you for all you did after Katrina. It did not go unnoticed. WITH LOVE - NEW ORLEANS

I agree with many of the comments here, calling for another volume II.....there are so many beautiful, uplifting and funky songs to choose from the MAZE songbook, it really has to be done again. The choice of artists too has been so well done...I predict that Vol. II the worlds top artists will be begging you to be allowed a chance to make a contribution. It's ALL good and most deserved. About a month ago, we had a house party at my sister-in-law's in Houston. I brought along my DVD copies of Live in New Orleans and Los Angeles. We played them on a 65" screen through surround sound all night long and no one ever asked to change the music. We partied until about 4am. We really need another live album on DVD...that party would have lasted until the sun came up.
I never thought that anyone could sing a Maze song as well as Frankie, but Joe comes really close on "Can't Get Over You", SOOOOO SMOOOOTH!!!
Frankie Beverly & Maze are timeless and forever...My parents and my kids listen as well...what a phenom. We'll be three generations deep at the show in Lafayette, LA on November 22, 2009.
All of Louisiana loves Frankie Beverly & Maze...especially Grand Coteau, LA
