San Francisco, Calif. -- Anthony Beverly and Brantera Music Group, Inc. have signed a deal to produce "Silky Soul Music...An All-Star Tribute to Maze featuring Frankie Beverly."

The project is the brainchild of Frankie Beverly's son Anthony Beverly, who, in an effort to properly honor his father's contributions to the music industry, is serving as the executive producer of this ultimate tribute project celebrating his father's accomplishments including 30 hit singles, twelve albums and more than forty years in the music industry.

Beverly and his production team are planning to assemble some of the most innovative voices in music which have shaped R&B, Jazz and Gospel over the last several decades for one common goal: to pay tribute to a living legend.

"With Maze, my father helped shape one of the most influential sounds in modern history," said Beverly.  "I am excited to pay tribute to his legacy by working with artists who embody the spirit, appreciation and vocal talents consistent with the Maze's sound and message."

In addition to the album, a special commemorative DVD will be produced featuring interviews with the all-star participants, legendary R&B and Jazz recording artists, current and former music industry executives, as well as African American thought and community leaders who will share their personal insights as to how Beverly and Maze impacted the music industry and African American culture.

Production is set to begin in early April with an album release date set for summer 2009.

A special website is under construction for fans and consumers who are interested in keeping up with the ultimate "tribute" project until release --  http://www.frankiebeverlytribute.com/ and will be launched in mid April.

The website will include news and information regarding the project and short interviews with album participants direct from the studio.  The website will also feature a video sharing platform to allow fans to upload video testimonies of their favorite Frankie Beverly and Maze experience. A contest will be announced next month to select one fan video that captures the ultimate Frankie Beverly and Maze experience.   Anthony will also author a blog to allow Frankie Beverly and Maze fans an opportunity to share memories and nostalgic moments about the group's legendary concerts across the world.

I have much love for Frankie Beverly and Mase. I can't wait for this project to be completed. Frankie and the crew truly deserve the recognition. They have been a part of my life for a long, long time. They are true to their style and that's what I love about them. Don't change, just keep doing what you are doing. And I will keep smiling and grooving to that smooth, silky soul sound. Mercy, Mercy !!!!!!!

All I can say is "WOW". I've seen Frankie several times live and saw him again last night in Richmond, Va. I am still blown away the next day...........Saturday. WOWWWW. Unbelievably brillant and powerfully soulful and natural in every aspect. I must see him again soon, real soon, but I live in Richmond, Va and note that he is not coming near to me. I need more of Frankie Beverly and Maze. NEED is the key word.

I heve been a fan of Frankie Beverly and Maze since 1978. I am so greatful to Anthony for doing this tribute to not only his father but to the greatest R&B bands EVER.

I am glad that somebody is doing a tribute to my Frankie it is well deserved. I have often wonder why BET has not done a tribute to Frankie Beverly. I went to see Frankie in concert in Baton Rouge and I had a good time because the last time I saw him was at Grambling in 19881. I was always taught good things come to those who wait and this is a good thing. God Bless you Frankie for giving us great music in my time . I have raised my kids up on your music so they will know what good music is.

My husband and I celebrated our 16 yr anniversary last night with Frankie Beverly and Maze in Chicago. This was the 9th time seeing the group together, and I must say the band, MAZE has never sound better. The music was so awesome...it made us proud the group has maintained it's gift. We are big fans of guitarist,Larry Chappell too- seen him play with Boney and George Benson. God Bless you all. And yeah, we are still anticipating "Anticipation" the album, hope to see it in stores within the next year.

I am so happy about your project. My family and I love Frankie Beverly and Maze. Nine of us saw the concert at the Desoto Civic Center in Southave, MS, Sunday, Nov. 15, 2009. It was a great show and we loved it.
My brother wears the all white and the cap just like Frankie Beverly. We love you for keeping the music alive. I
I just recently purchased the Frankie Beverly and Maze live concert on DVD and I love it.
I surprised my guest at a birthday party and everyone hit the floor dancing.
The Frankie Beverly and Maze songs sound as good today as they did when the first came out.
We love it every time like it is the 1st time that we heard it.
Sunday, we sang along with him like we were the stars of the show.
We loved every minute of it.
