Born and raised in uptown NYC, D.L.U.X.(31) was immersed in the world of music. From church choir, school band, and his mother's house parties, music was his life.
While attending the University of Maryland from 1996-2000, with one eye on playing football and the other on the nightlife. D.L.U.X. found himself academically ineligible. Fortunately he was able to join the campus performance group Kreativity. This was the perfect opportunity to perfect his skill at MCing.
Following a return to NYC in 2000, after withdrawing from school, D.L.U.X. began working for the New York City school system.
He was also working with longtime friends and collaborators Our Thingz and MadChild Productions.
D.L.U.X. has also worked with Merc Diz on the DJ Green Lantern online mixtape, Myspace Monster Mash pt. 4.
